Fing Desktop is a beta testing program for Windows and macOS that lets you test new apps before they are released for public use. You can install the program from the system tray, and you can also minimize it to the system tray if you don't want to be disturbed by its presence. You should enable Fing Desktop permissions for your Mac, too. You should check whether Full Disk Access and Files and Folders are both enabled, and click OK.
Once you have installed the software, you can monitor connected devices and your Internet connection. You can even send yourself e-mails with the information. There are a few options for monitoring your network. You can check which devices are connected to the Internet and what speed they are running at. You can also send them a message to let them know what is wrong. You can even set them to send you a text message when there's a problem.
Premium versions include Intruder detection. This feature notifies you if any unknown devices have joined your network. Enhanced troubleshooting tools are also available, but you need to subscribe to the premium plan to use them. Router and DHCP checks check your router setup and let you close vulnerable open ports. Timeline of events shows a complete calendar of device status and enables you to view detailed details. In addition, you can also take advantage of the Local API.
